WELCOME, VOLUNTEERS!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering to help preserve and maintain your state parks system-one of Nebraska's genuine state treasures!

Volunteers in our state parks, recreation areas, historical parks and wildlife management areas are increasingly valuable and appreciated assets in these days of increasing budget constraints. Volunteering in a wide variety of roles in 86 areas across the state is a welcome benefit to our parks' staffs and helps them to maintain the high standards that have made our parks system a national model since the first state park was established in 1921.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission offers a multitude of opportunities for volunteers to ensure that our cultural and natural resources survive and thrive.

We invite you to explore the opportunities and get involved in our parks through one or more of these volunteer programs:

Volunteers in Parks (VIP)

- This program is designed for individuals and groups who are interested in general cleanup, maintenance and special projects for specific needs for individual parks. LEARN MORE ...

Take pride in America is a national partnership established by the U.S. Department of the Interior that encourages and empowers volunteers from across America to improve our parks, lakes, wildlife areas, recreation areas and cultural and historical sites.
