Summary
Alexandria is a small recreation area encompassing 55 acres of land with two lakes totalling 46 acres of water. The area is fairly level with mature trees offering fishing, picnic shelters and campsites.

Attractions
Western history buffs will want to visit Rock Creek Station State Historical Park which is located approximately 22 miles from Alexandria State Recreation Area. It is at Rock Creek Station SHP that "Wild Bill" Hickok began his notorious career. Overnight Accommodations
