Brownville
State Recreation Area
Please note: Brownville SRA is now open again. There is limited boat/trailer parking as not all silt and debris has been removed after the flood waters. As of this date the campground and picnic areas at Brownville have not been thoroughly cleaned up. The park is open to the public but camping and picnicking opportunities are limited. Situated just southeast of Brownville, this 22-acre area is home to the historic Meriwether Lewis Dredge Museum, operated by the Meriwether Lewis Foundation. It offers boating access to the mighty Missouri River, with an excellent boat ramp and dock.
