Who is working on this blueprint?

Canvasback The Nebraska Natural Legacy Project is a project for all Nebraskans. Already, dozens of organizations representing a diversity of interests have joined forces to begin work on this project. Conservation and agricultural groups, private landowners, scientists, and land managers are finding common ground in working on this conservation blueprint. There were seven teams composed of dozens of organizations that worked on this project.
Team Job Descriptions

Partnership Team: Ensure NNLP will be an effective biodiversity conservation tool that meets needs of conservation and agricultural organizations. Also ensure broad public participation.

Science Team: Identify conservation landscapes, species in greatest need of conservation and set conservation goals.

Wildlife Education/Recreation Team: Identify wildlife education needs and develop education goals.

Outreach Team: Inform Nebraska citizens and organizations about Nebraska's Natural Legacy Project.

Conservation Strategies Team: Develop conservation actions.

Internal Support Team: Ensure NNLP meets the requirements and guidelines of the Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Plans.

Core Team: Coordinate project development. Ensure NNLP meets guidelines of USFWS and is completed on schedule.
