very unique and diverse landscape across the state. Support for Nebraska wildlife is provided from hunters, trappers, fishermen, federal grants, and state taxes. Nongame wildlife is supported solely through the nongame and endangered species fund. This fund accrues through the tax checkoff and donations from citizens. The nongame fund represents a very small amount compared to the funds for game species, yet nongame species comprise the vast majority of the diversity of Nebraska.
